![]() They still *made* the animations, regardless of cost, or there would not have been a bother to make models that can be dismembered in the first place. Everything costs money to implement, but you don't see Doom charging extra to bump the chainsaw kill from a PG animation to an R rated one. The real question to me is why some people feel that they shouldn't pay for something they clearly want. ![]() ![]() So someone is going to have to pay for that work, and on balance I think it's fairer that it be people who actually want Blood & Gore in the game, instead of forcing people who don't want it to also pay. There's "no reason" except that it actually costs money to do all the work involved in making the Blood & Gore type DLCs. Let's pretend for a second that the arguement "they will lose a lot of sell" is true (even when in reality that's not the case, TotalWar and Warhammer at two property with a clear 18+ target audience, steam have no way to verify your age, most parent don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about rating, kids certainly don't care and there's almost no country that ban 18+ games), let's just pretend for the sake of arguement here.Įven if that was true, there's NO REASON for the gore and blood to be a paid DLC, it could perfectly be a FLC or a 1cent DLC, there's nothing in the ESRB and PEGI rules that prevent them to do so. Blood effects will display at all settings.Originally posted by Hell_Nico:The real reason? To rippof more money to the consumers! Note that the Unit Detail option in the graphics setting menu must be set to Medium or above in order for dismemberment effects to be seen.
